9:36pm

9:36pm
I'm craving insect noises
Sweet & sticky humidity
Grassy fields w/wild flowers
Southern drawls
Thunder rumbling off aways
A balmy breeze
Vic's damp hand around mine
Eyes closed
Listening to nature

Jo,
I'm really enjoying your "timepieces." They are so short and simple, but a capture the moment so well. Also like your artwork with them!

Thank you Lizzi. Not sure where I got the idea from ('it just came to me!') but I'm having fun with it and it's getting me to write nearly every day, which I need desperately to do.

Pretty, Jo...I could almost taste watermelon and fresh Jersey tomatoes!

I love that term -- timepieces. Perfect for these. This is the time of year that we yearn for summer.

I'm not actually a fan of summer. (High heat and/or humidity and my health don't get along well). There are brief times when I don't mind the warmth and humidity brings out the scents in my gardens and it's like heaven. (It's amazing to stand among the flowers just before a storm). What I'm really longing for right now I think is some quiet time in nature with Hubb's. (A trip up to the family cabin in PA is nearing, I can feel it!)

These little glimpses into your day are great! What a cool idea.

Thanks Thauna! I'm having fun with them by doing the little color pieces and it's getting me to write nearly every day, which is great.
