An Old Friend Returns

While it's nice to see that my purple Grape Hyacinths are the first to appear each Spring, it's my Bleeding Heart bush (pictured above) that I anxiously await to bloom each season. My first splash of Pink! And its' foliage is such a pretty green color. Makes me smile and lifts my Spirits as I watch it grow & bloom.

Your flowers are just divine! I just planted some Columbine and Red Cheddars (they are new to me) at our mailbox and hopefully I'll get the bed going in the backyard in a week or so. I'm thinking I'll do Impatiens or Begonias, who knows...

Thanks B, that made me smile as much as my Bleeding Heart did this morning! If your mailbox gets a lot of sun, go for the begonia's - impatiens don't seem to like a lot of direct sun & heat. Love Columbine! What are Red Cheddars?

I love when plants/flowers come out of seemingly no where. one day nothing the next day full bloom! spring is so much fun! especially for us incurable gardeners!
